2.3. Create a New VPN Connection - Windows 8

 

  1. Locate the network icon in the system try (lower right corner of your desktop):
  2. Right-click on the network icon and select Open Network and Sharing Center
  3. Click on Set up a new connection or network:
  4. Select Connect to a workplace and click Next:
  5. Select Use my Internet connection (VPN):
  6. Use the following Internet Address, Destination name and options. Click Create.
  7. The CALIBRE VPN connection will appear under Networks in the blue side bar on the right under Connections:
  8. Repeat steps 1 and 2 to open the Network and Sharing Center again. Click on Change adapter settings on the left:
  9. Right-click the CALIBRE VPN Connection icon and choose Properties:
  10. Change the default Data Encryption setting to Require encryption (disconnect if server declines):
  11. Under Authentication, select the radio button Allow these protocols, then check the last 3 options as shown below and click OK:
  12. A Network Connections message will appear. Click Yes.
  13. To start the connection, click on the network icon in the lower-right, click on the CALIBRE VPN Connection and click Connect:

Once established, it will read Connected:  

To disconnected, click the CALIBRE VPN Connection in the blue side bar and click Disconnect.
