2.2. Create a New VPN Connection - Windows 7

Tech Tip: Creating a New VPN Connection

  1. Locate the network icon in the system tray (Lower-right corner of your desktop):
  2. Click on the network icon and select Open Network and Sharing Center:
  3. Click on Set up a new connection or network:
  4. Select Connect to a workplace and click Next:
  5. Select No, create a new connection and click Next:
  6. Select Use my Internet connection (VPN):
  7. Use the following Internet address, Destination name and options. Click Next:
  8. Enter your CALIBRE username and password, check the box to remember your password and enter CALIBRE for the domain. Click Create:
  9. Click Close:
  10. In the Network and Sharing Center window, select Change adapter settings:
  11. Right-Click on the new VPN and select Create Shortcut in the dropdown menu:
  12. When prompted, select Yes:
  13. Double-click on the new VPN shortcut on your Desktop, verify the information and click Connect:
  14. A window will briefly pop-up while it verifies the logon information. If the window disappears, the VPN should now be connected.
